Acontece de forma natural,

Quando a felicidade, objetivo do meio e final,

Inclui o outro - e a mim mesmo -

De forma igual.

Absolvições falhas

Da minha cabeça saíram incontáveis histórias de amor

Em que foste personagem principal.

Das vezes em que, na vida real, agiste como vilã,

Transformei-te em algo diferente, num tipo de musa, numa diva inofensiva.

E ouvi tantas vezes as suas lamúrias com tamanha atenção

Que suspeito ter sido a nossa cama

Menos cama, mais divã,

Dia após dia, 

De nada adianta ser autor de histórias de amor isentas de culpa

Quando são os atos da vida real os que pesam no final.

 It's amazing how life changes, all of a sudden,

 As the climate changes,

 The wishes, the way of seeing the same environment,

 Hundreds and hundreds of times.

 It's amazing how everything changes

 And suddenly we believe that everything will continue to be

 The way it is,

 But, in any case, nothing remains.

 Not even if there was magic,

 Not even when it's the same path every day,

 Not even when we fight not to end,

 Nothing remains.

 Suddenly, I wish I could continue the way it is,

And maybe you would come almost everyday, with your big smile

And then your laughter could be heard over and over again.

Maybe the unique way you sing all the songs would be noticed, once again, due to the energy and passion you put into it.

If everything continued as it is, everyone would be always okay at work, especially in the busiest times, because you would be there to make sure this was true.

And then that place would be full of a great energy and sympathy.

I'm sure everyone would be so glad, as always, to have you around, everyday you arrived.

But then, if you stayed and everything continued the way it was, I probably wouldn't write a poem saying

That you changed my life

And the life of everyone around you

With your special way of dealing with difficulties and of taking care of people.

Then I wouldn't tell you that you are simply magnificent,

That I wish I could have been more of a friend than a distant and moody poet.

Suddenly, you go away

And it may be that what I say

Don't make sense,

But all the admiration that I bring inside,

 It was only possible because, back there, something changed first

 And that's when I met you:

 Life just got happier, more attractive, more meaningful, more inspiring.

 And suddenly, I wish I could continue as it was,

 But the truth is that you deserve such a joyful, attractive and meaningful change

 As that one you provided to me.

 The change will be kind to you,

 Because it will put you in the way of those

 Who will be so much happy and blessed

 Just for having you around.

Despedida

É incrível como a vida muda, de repente,

Tal qual muda o clima,

Os desejos, a forma de ver o mesmo ambiente,

Centenas e centenas de vezes,

É incrível como tudo muda

E, de repente, a gente acredita que tudo vai continuar

Do jeito que está,

Mas, de qualquer maneira, nada fica.

Nem se existisse magia,

Nem quando é o mesmo caminho, todos os dias,

Nem quando a gente luta pra não acabar,

Nada fica. 

De repente, eu queria poder continuar do jeito que está,

Queria poder me permitir não sentir nada,

Queria poder me manter calada,

Me manter salva, segura,

Mas então você não saberia

Que você mudou a minha vida,

Que você é simplesmente magnífica,

Que eu queria poder ter sido mais poeta do que colega.

De repente, você vai embora

E pode ser que nada do que eu diga

Faça sentido,

Mas todo o sentimento que eu trago

Dentro do peito,

Só foi possível porque, lá atrás, algo mudou primeiro

E foi quando eu te conheci:

A vida ficou mais alegre, mais atraente, mais significativa, mais inspiradora.

E, de repente, eu queria poder continuar do jeito que está,

Mas é que você merece uma mudança tão alegre, tão atraente e significativa

Quanto a que você, sem saber, me proporcionou.

A mudança será bondosa com você,

Porque vai te colocar no caminho daqueles
